Platforms
Thomas Schnur
Platforms is a collaboration between Thomas Schnur and Deutsche & Japaner. Folded aluminum sheet pieces are welded together to create various pieces of furniture for the Deutsche & Japaner Studio, including side tables, a side board and two sofa table elements. Each piece is folded at a 90-degree angle and welded to the next folded surface. This rational and pragmatic method of construction creates a grammar that connects the different pieces of furniture and formulates a collection of platforms that present, preserve and support all things around the studio.
